About COHA

The Czech Oral History Association (COHA) has its roots at the 14th International Oral History Association Conference in Sydney in July 2006, where the idea to establish a national association was initially raised. The association was officially founded on January 8, 2007, at the founding general assembly. COHA is a member of the International Oral History Association and the Council of Scientific Societies of the Czech Republic (on November 1, 2017, the Czech National Oral History Committee was incorporated into COHA).

  • to assist newly established institutions, using oral history, and provide information on new projects, publications, and conferences;
  • to share information regarding oral history within the oral history community;
  • to interconnect existing oral history archives.
